FORT MYERS, Fla. A curfew was declared in Lee County Sunday to protect residents during and after Hurricane Irma, Lee County officials said.
The mandatory curfew will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. until further notice, officials said. It applies to all cities as well as unincorporated areas.
Those permitted to be out during the curfew are those providing essential services such as fire, police, emergency medical services, hospital services and utility emergency repairs, officials said.
