LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. A grocery store was robbed Friday morning on Eighth Street West, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said.
The robbery happened just before noon on Friday at the El Paso Supermarket on 5600 Eighth Street West when a man entered the store armed with a machete and demanded money from the clerk, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. The clerk did so, and the man left the store with an unknown amount of money.
Anyone with information should call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips can also be submitted online of via the P3Tips mobile app.
