NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A pedestrian was killed Tuesday evening in a crash on U.S. 41, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at around 10 p.m. on U.S. 41 at Fork Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The wreck blocked the southbound lanes of U.S. 41.
The circumstances leading up to the crash and the number of vehicles involved remain unclear at this time.
