FORT MYERS, Fla. The Edison Ford Museum and the Laboratory at the Edison Ford Winter Estates reopened Saturday morning for the first time since Hurricane Irma.
Two brand new exhibits were added to the museum located on 2350 McGregor Blvd.
The Timeline of Innovation features a look through the decades starting back in 1870. It showcases both Thomas Edison and Henry Ford’s inventions and achievements.
The next generation of inventors can get creative in the Spark Lab Smithsonian, an active exhibit featuring various hands-on stations where kids can create inventions and solve problems through trial and error.
The home side of the Edison Ford Winter Estates is still undergoing cleanup after the storm, but it’s expected to reopen in October.
