SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. One person is dead after a crash along U.S. 41, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Another person was injured and a third remained on scene as of 1:40 p.m. Friday, FHP Lt. Greg Bueno said.
The crash took place at 12:30 p.m. near the intersection with Hendry Creek Drive, just south of Gladiolus Drive and Six Mile Cypress Parkway, the FHP said on its website. Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane were blocked on U.S. 41.
Three vehicles were involved, Bueno said.
No further information was immediately available.
