SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. One person was killed in a crash early Sunday morning on McGregor Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Dustin Thomas Born, 19, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, was laying in the inside lane of McGregor Boulevard road and was struck by a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta around 3:09 a.m. near McGregor Palms Drive, according to the FHP. Born was pronounced dead on scene.
The roadway had since cleared, State troopers said. Charges are pending a further investigation, State troopers said.
