PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Punta Gorda Airport will introduce private contractors to assist TSA guards beginning June 1, according to the airport authority. Wait times in security check lines are as long as 90 minutes in some airports due to spring break travel. Officials say they hope the change will provide more flexibility for travelers.
