CAPE CORAL, Fla. Two people were injured in a boating accident on the Caloosahatchee River Saturday afternoon, Cape Coral police said.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m.
Four people were on the boat, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
One man was thrown from the boat and went into cardiac arrest, while another man suffered a knee injury.
Drivers, boaters, and residents in the area will continue seeing increased police activity near the ramp and Horton Park for the next few hours, police said.
A previous boat crash was reported a few hours earlier at the Midpoint Memorial Bridge where a 12-year-old boy was killed and three others were injured.
