FORT MYERS, Fla. A 27-year-old Cape Coral man accused of killing a victim in a Monday morning shooting will have his first appearance in court Tuesday.

Ryan Doyon was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail Monday, according to police. He faces a second-degree murder charge.

The shooting happened at around 9:35 a.m. on Monday outside Doyon’s home on the 1900 block of Cornwallis Parkway in Cape Coral, police said.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are unclear, but Doyon and the victim had no prior relationship, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries, police said. The victim’s identity will remain unclear until the next of kin is notified.

He will appear in court at 9 a.m. at the Lee County Clerk of Court on 1700 Monroe St.
