FORT MYERS, Fla. Jury selection for Jorge Guerrero’s child pornography trial will continue Friday.
Finding an unbiased jury has proved difficult for the judge, but the pool has been narrowed to 32 possible candidates for the trial.
Guerrero is accused of possessing lewd images of nine-year-old Diana Alvarez, who has been missing for nearly one year, according to court findings.
Area residents have seen flyers distributed of Alvarez in neighborhoods across Lee County, potential jurors said Thursday.
Prosecutors cannot mention Guerrero as a suspect in her disappearance in the trial, according to court findings, but are permitted to use the court interrogation video where Guerrero discloses their sexual relationship.
