FORT MYERS, Fla. The death that sparked an investigation Friday night in the Pine Manor community is now considered a homicide, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies found a deceased woman on 11th Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Friday after responding to call for service, according to the sheriff’s office. The incident appeared to be domestic.
The Department of Children and Families took the woman’s child into custody.
Major Crimes detectives are investigating the case.
This is an isolated incident and the public is not currently in any danger, deputies said.
