CAPE CORAL, Fla. After 50 years, Vietnam veterans were welcomed home at Lee County Health Care Center Friday. The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System honored veterans with special pins to show them they are still appreciated.
The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System serves approximately 100,000 veterans in Southwest Florida and 46 percent of those veterans served in Vietnam.
Vietnam War’s 50th anniversary was officially recognized in 2012.
