ESTERO, Fla. Firefighters were able to contain an 8 acre brush fire that ignited along Burgundy Farms Road near Alico Road Saturday afternoon, Estero Fire Rescue said.
“The Division of Forestry was able to get in here with two of their tractors, put a good line around it,” said Susan Lindenmuth, spokesperson for the fire department. “Multiple agencies came to the rescue here and were able to really contain this fire. It is not out, but it is contained within that area.”
No structures were damaged in the blaze.
Crews stayed on the scene to monitor hot spots and wind conditions.
