LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. One person was shot late Friday morning on the 200 block of W. 12th Street.
The 30-year-old man was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital. Authorities did not immediately detail his condition or the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but the man’s roommate said he was in critical condition Friday afternoon.
Magaly Mojica, who lives nearby, said she heard three gunshots and decided she’s moving out of the neighborhood.
“Everybody keeps telling me this community is quiet and safe,” she said. “This is not safe and it’s not quiet anymore. We’ve been here going on two weeks now and were out of here.”
