CAPE CORAL, Fla. A man was hospitalized Friday following a Saturday morning along Pine Island Road near Hibiscus Drive, the Cape Coral Police Department said.
Police responded to the crash around 9:20 a.m.
A Kia Soul driven by 81 year-old Thomas Hierspiel turned in front of a Kia Sedona minivan driven by Linda Diane Long, 55, violating the right of way.
Hierspiel suffered serious injuries and was trauma-alerted to a local hospital for treatment. Long suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
